Track: Halifax Citadel
Trace By: Germaine
Location: Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver
Distance: 2.04 km
This didn’t turn out as well as I thought it would. I picked a location that had interesting similarities to the Citadel: a somewhat ceremonial site on top of a hill — the Queen Elizabeth Park botanical garden. It started out great, but went awry when I had to bushwhack and got myself a bit turned around. In retrospect, I might have been better (made a ‘nicer’ drawing) to just stick to the pathways of the botanical garden instead of trying to replicate the Citadel Roads exactly.
To make this trace, I first looked at a map to guess at a good starting point, then went to that starting point and asked the site to email me the track starting at that location. I opened the track in the MyTracks iPhone app, and also recorded my trace using that app.
